Certification

Duplicate/Printed Certificates

It is the certificate holder's responsibility to safe-guard his/her certificate as one would any important document. School district Offices of Human Resources may require that individuals show proof of Certification in a specific area as a condition of employment.

Paper certificates are not printed for time limited certificates at the time of issuance. You may wish to view the memo Printing of Time Limited Certificates Discontinued .

If you would like a printed certificate, you may apply for one by submitting the request online through TEACH. There are some certifications for which paper certificates are never printed.  These include Transitional A, B, C, D, Internship, and Temporary and Modified Temporary Licenses.

Click Indicates you can Apply Online to apply for a duplicate certificate.  The fee is $25, which can be paid by credit card. Once the application for the paper certificate is completed and the fee is paid, the paper certificate application will be reviewed and if all requirements are met the certificate will be printed the next business day. There will be no refunds for an issued paper certificate after the request has been completed.

Address changes

If you have an address change, you must update your address on your TEACH account before you submit an application for the paper certificate. If you do not update the address prior to making the application, the certificate will be mailed to the address on TEACH at the time of application. The fee will not be refunded. For instructions go to Address Change.

Name Changes

If you need to update your name, you must request the name change before you submit an application for the paper certificate. If you do request a name change, your certificate will not be issued until the name change request is approved. At the time of the name change approval, your paper certificate request will be evaluated and if all requirements are met the certificate will be printed the next business day.  For instructions go to Name Change.
