Before calling, please log into your TEACH account and be prepared to take notes on paper, your computer, or other electronic device. We do not currently have music playing when you are on hold, but your call will remain active in the queue if you have not ended the call.

Address
Office of Teaching Initiatives
New York State Education Department
89 Washington Ave., 5N EB
Albany, New York 12234

The Office of Teaching Initiatives (OTI) does not accept visitors. A box is available at the main security desk to drop-off documents. These documents are collected daily.

An OTI staff member will not meet with you to receive your documents in person. If your documents are acceptable, they will be associated with the mail received on that day; they will not be processed more quickly than other documents sent through mail or email. Official transcripts must be in an original, sealed envelope from the institution of higher education. Workshop certificates must be filled out completely and signed by the workshop provider.
