CTE Professional Diving Credentials
The acceptable industry-related credentials for Career and Technical Education (Grades 7-12) Certification – Pathways G, I, and J are listed below. Candidates must hold ALL three of the following credentials:
- A valid Scuba Instructor certification meeting WRSTC standards from one on the following agencies.
- IDEA (International Diving Educators Association)
- NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors)
- PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors)
- PDIC (Professional Diving Instructors Corporation)
- SDI (Scuba Diving International)
- SSI (Scuba Schools International)
- A valid First Aid Instructor certification including Oxygen Administration from one on the following agencies.
- A valid certification in one of the following areas:
- Commercial Diving
- Basic Air/mixed gas entry level commercial diving certification, or
- Bell Systems/saturation diving advanced level commercial diving certification, or
- Inspection certification
- Scientific Diving
- Water Safety (first responders/rescue diver)
- Rescue Diver (comes from a recreational agency, e.g., PADI, NAUI), or
- Search and Recovery Certification
