CTE Professional Diving Credentials

The acceptable industry-related credentials for Career and Technical Education (Grades 7-12) Certification – Pathways G, I, and J are listed below. Candidates must hold ALL three of the following credentials:

1. A valid Scuba Instructor certification meeting WRSTC standards from one on the following agencies.
• IDEA (International Diving Educators Association)
• NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors)
• PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors)
• PDIC (Professional Diving Instructors Corporation)
• SDI (Scuba Diving International)
• SSI (Scuba Schools International)


2. A valid First Aid Instructor certification including Oxygen Administration from one on the following agencies.
   • American Red Cross
   • Divers Alert Network
   • PADI
   
   
3. A valid certification in one of the following areas:
   • Commercial Diving
   • Basic Air/mixed gas entry level commercial diving certification, or
   • Bell Systems/saturation diving advanced level commercial diving certification, or
   • Inspection certification
   • Scientific Diving
   • Water Safety (first responders/rescue diver)
   • Rescue Diver (comes from a recreational agency, e.g., PADI, NAUI), or
   • Search and Recovery Certification
