Notice of Uncompleted Requirements

A Notice of Uncompleted Requirements letter is generated by the Office of Teaching Initiatives when a manual review has been completed and you have not met all of the requirements for Certification.  The letter informs you of the remaining requirements that must be satisfied to obtain your certificate at the time the letter was generated.

If you receive a Notice of Uncompleted Requirements, follow the steps below to determine what you must do next.

  1. Determine which application the letter references (refer to the image above #1).  This can be found in the first paragraph of the letter and above the date the letter was created.

  2. Review the information included for each uncompleted requirement (refer to the image above #2).  Each deficiency is preceded by a bullet. 

  3. To view detailed information regarding each uncompleted requirement go to Search Certification Requirements:
    1. From the drop down menus, Select Area of Interest, Subject Area, Grade Level, Title and Type of the certificate for which you have received a Notice of Uncompleted Requirements.

    2. Then click “Search” to view the results.

    3. Scroll to your "Pathway".

    4. Click on the "Requirement" link to view the description.

If you have any questions about your uncompleted requirements, submit them in writing to the Office of Teaching Initiatives.  Please include your full name, last four digits of your Social Security number, a copy of the evaluation and any necessary supporting materials (i.e., letters of employment, catalog course description, etc.).
