Acceptance of Exams Other than the NYSTCE Towards New York State Educator Certification

October 10, 2025. At its February 2025 meeting, the Board of Regents adopted amendments to Section 80 of the Commissioner’s Regulations, establishing opportunities for exams other than the NYSTCE to be accepted to meet the content knowledge examination requirement.
Please note that only the specified exams are acceptable, and the candidate must have achieved an acceptable score as detailed on the webpage linked below.
