Regional Certification Offices
Regional Certification Offices (RCOs) are operated by Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES).
The following BOCES Regional Certification Offices (RCOs) evaluate Classroom Teacher, Pupil Personnel Services, Teaching Assistants and Coaching applications. A limited number of these offices are open to the public. You should telephone in advance to determine availability.
If you choose to have a BOCES RCO evaluate your application for certification, you can send your documents to the BOCES or to the Office of Teaching Initiatives (OTI), with the exception that colleges should send electronic transcripts to OTI (not to the BOCES).
