Temporary Coaching License 2nd – 4th Renewal Requirements - Individual Evaluation Pathway
If the last coaching license you held was the Temporary 1st Renewal, or if you held one or two 2nd – 4th Renewals, and you do not meet the requirements for the Professional Coaching license, this is your next level for the same sport.
- Valid First Aid Course
- Valid CPR Course
- Coursework:
Philosophy, Principles and Organization of Athletics in Education.- Verification of completed coursework may be a certificate of completion, an official transcript, a course equivalent letter
, or an NFHS -AIC Level 1 certificate.
- Verification of completed coursework may be a certificate of completion, an official transcript, a course equivalent letter
- Workshop - Child Abuse Identification
- Workshop - School Violence Intervention and Prevention
- Workshop - Training in Harassment, Bullying, Cyberbullying, and Discrimination in Schools: Prevention and Intervention (DASA training)
- School District Recommendation
Temporary Coaching License 2nd – 4th Renewal Requirements – NFHS Pathway

If it has been more than five years since your Temporary license in the same sport was issued, you must submit verification of following coursework:
- Health Sciences of Coaching, and
- Sport specific Theory and Techniques.
- Verification of completed coursework may be a certificate of completion, an official transcript, a course equivalent letter , or a NFHS - CIC Level 2 certificate and Internship Evaluation Information Form .
Acceptable Courses
Courses must be from an approved provider.
