Temporary Coaching License 1st Renewal

If you held a Temporary Coaching license, this is the next level license in the same sport as the Temporary Coaching License.

• Valid First Aid Course
  
  
• Valid CPR Course
  

• Workshop - Child Abuse Identification
  
  
• Workshop - School Violence Intervention and Prevention
  
  
• Workshop - Training in Harassment, Bullying, Cyberbullying, and Discrimination in Schools: Prevention and Intervention (DASA training)
  
  
• Fingerprint Clearance
• All NY (except New York City DOE)
• Transfer prints from New York City DOE
  
  
• School District Recommendation

• If it has been more than five years since your Temporary license in the same sport was issued, you must submit verification of following coursework:
• Health Sciences of Coaching,
• Philosophy, Principles and Organization of Athletics in Education, and
• Sport-specific Theory and Techniques.

Each of the above listed courses must be from an approved provider.

Verification of completed coursework may be a certificate of completion, an official transcript, a course equivalent letter , or a National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Accredited Interscholastic Coach (AIC) Level 1 certificate and Certified Interscholastic Coach Certificate (CIC) Level 2 certificate and Internship Evaluation Information Form .

Note: Verification of completion or enrollment in a Philosophy, Principles and Organizations of Athletics in Education course is required for the 2nd-4th renewal. Submit verification of completion or enrollment in a Philosophy, Principles and Organizations of Athletics in Education course.
