Teacher Members - Standards Board

The State Professional Standards and Practices Board for Teaching is a 28-member board that serves in a consultative and advisory capacity to the Regents and Commissioner on matters pertaining to teacher education, certification, and practice.

Board membership includes eleven practicing teachers in elementary, middle, or secondary schools. Among the current teacher members, two have National Board certification, and two have been New York Teacher of the Year finalists or runners up, among many other honors.  Read more about these distinguished educators by linking to their biographies below.
