| To: | NYS Public School TEACH Administrative Users |
| From: | Deborah A. Marriott |
| Subject: | IMPORTANT: Fingerprint Changes to TEACH |
The purpose of this memo is to describe some of the important new changes in TEACH for school users. With this new upgrade to the TEACH system, school users will now be able to:
- submit fingerprint applications on behalf of their employees
- pay for previously submitted fingerprint applications online, on behalf of your prospective employees
- view detailed information about the progress of a fingerprint application through the TEACH system
- view detailed information about the status of a clearance request in the TEACH system
The "New School District Fingerprinting Manual and Screen Shots" (PDF) that documents the changes to TEACH. The last several pages of the guide describe the detailed status messages and what each message means.
Some of your existing individual employee status messages may change in TEACH to more accurately reflect the current status of their fingerprint applications or clearance requests.
As always, you may email OSPRA at OSPRA@mail.nysed.gov if you have any questions about an individual's fingerprint application. It is our hope that these new changes provide you with greater access to TEACH and better serve your needs.
