Re: New Fingerprint Processing Fee

OSPRA has just been notified by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) that the mandatory fee for the processing of fingerprint supported Criminal History Background checks will increase from $74 to $99 effective July 1, 2003.

All applications for Clearance for Employment and/or Certification postmarked on or after July 1, 2003 must contain the adjusted fee of $99.00. This cost per application is collected by the State Education Department and forwarded to DCJS and the FBI as the mandatory fingerprint processing fee.

OSPRA will be adjusting all appropriate forms, information and documents on its website to reflect this new fee.
