Yes, I have submitted an application for certification.

When to expect an evaluation or issued Certificate

The time required to process your application and complete an evaluation of your credentials depends on the certification pathway you selected (eg. college-recommended, individual transcript evaluation, interstate reciprocity, etc.) and the method you used for submitting your application. Generally, applicants who completed approved teacher preparation programs, are recommended by their institutions and submit their application using have their certification applications processed expeditiously.

  • If you have applied through the individual transcript evaluation pathway, please allow at least 18 weeks from your most recent submission for an evaluation and/or the issuance of your certificate.

  • If you completed an approved teacher preparation program and your institution has already submitted your recommendation for your first teaching certificate, allow 1-2 weeks from the date your institution sent the recommendation.

Note: Applicants whose institutions submitted their recommendations via TEACH Online Services have their applications processed in a matter of days!

Please be advised that application processing times may be longer during peak periods depending on the volume of applications.

Check your TEACH account to see if your certificate has been issued or an evaluation of your credentials has been completed.

Applicants who submit paper applications or paper documentation supporting their application for certification please note:
PAPER RECORDS ARE DESTROYED AFTER THREE YEARS. You must submit original transcripts from all colleges/universities attended with grades, GPA, and, if applicable, the conferral date(s) of the degree(s) awarded if you have not done so within the last three years.
