DEGREE-CREDIT ENROLLMENT Number of students enrolled in courses for credit. At the undergraduate level, includes students enrolled in vocational or occupational programs. Note: This report counts Excelsior external degree-credit enrollees where they receive instruction. Beginning in 2005, it reports those who receive instruction through Excelsior under Excelsior. For Excelsior's external enrollment, call 518-474-5091.

NONRESIDENT ALIEN: A person who is not a citizen of the United States and who is in the country on a temporary basis and does not have the right to remain indefinitely. BLACK, NON-HISPANIC: A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa (except those of Hispanic origin). AMERICAN INDIAN OR ALASKAN NATIVE: A person having origins in any of the original peoples of North America, who maintains cultural identification through tribal affiliation or community recognition.

ASIAN OR PACIFIC ISLANDER: A person having origins in
any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, the Indian
sub-continent, or the Pacific Islands. This area includes, for example,
China, India, Japan, Korea, the Philippine Islands, Samoa and Vietnam. HISPANIC: A person of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Central or South American or other Spanish culture or origin, regardless of race. WHITE, NON-HISPANIC: A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, North Africa, or in the Middle East (except those of Hispanic origin). |
