LIU - Brooklyn Faculty Lockout

The Department has received a large volume of calls and emails concerning the faculty lockout at the Brooklyn campus of Long Island University (LIU-Brooklyn). While we are not able to respond to each call and email individually, please see the information below concerning this matter:
- On Tuesday, September 13, 2016, Deputy Commissioner for Higher Education, John L. D’Agati sent a letter to Long Island University President, Kimberly Cline, concerning the faculty lockout at LIU-Brooklyn.
- Late on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, an agreement was reached between LIU and the faculty union which ended the lockout and permits the faculty to return to classes beginning Thursday, September 15, 2016.
