Appendix A.  List of "Eligible Rural LEAs"

This list was created by applying the federal definition a "eligible rural LEA," including the State definition of a rural area, to existing SED databases. However, it may not be an exhaustive list of all "eligible rural LEAs." A school district that does not appear in this list in Appendix A may use Appendix B to determine if it qualifies as an "eligible rural LEA." A school district that is not listed in Appendix A or qualified through Appendix B that can demonstrate that it meets the federal eligibility criteria in Item A1 of this field memo may write to NCLBNYS@mail.nysed.gov  for further information.
