As you may be aware, the Board of Regents adopted safety nets for the revised Content Specialty Tests (CSTs) that went operational in fall 2014 and fall 2015. The safety net provisions for the CSTs that went operational in fall 2014 and 2015, which are listed below, will expire on June 30, 2017.

Please advise all faculty, staff, and students that, effective July 1, 2017, any candidates pursuing certification in one of the fields listed below who have not already taken and passed a CST in that field will be required to take the revised Content Specialty Test.

Gifted Education

Multi-Subject 1-6

Health Education

Multi-Subject 5-9

Please also note that the safety net for the Multi-Subject 7-12 (mathematics portion) does not expire until June 30, 2018.
