Medical Assistant Program Meeting

Medical Assistant School Meeting
Tuesday, April 1, 2008, 3:30 pm at:
Sanford-Brown Institute
120 East 16 Street, 2nd Floor, New York, New York
(646) 313-4519.

Industry changes in the Medical Assisting field have created confusion in both non-degree proprietary schools and the Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision. In order to update policies and procedures regarding curriculum approval and instructor licensing for Medical Assisting programs, BPSS is requesting input from schools that offer Medical Assisting curriculum.

Topics of discussion will include - courses that are considered clinical vs. business, possible changes in the title of the curriculum, and more effective ways of licensing instructors. When the current statute is changed, instructors will be licensed independently of schools, and this issue will be even more critical than it is today.

Sanford-Brown Institute has offered to host this important meeting at 3:30 P.M. on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at their 120 East 16th Street location, in Manhattan. If you offer a Medical Assistant curriculum, we ask you to attend. This location is convenient to all schools, as it is in close proximity to the following trains: 4, 5, 6, L, N, Q, R, W.

You are not required to RSVP, but if you have any questions, please contact Monica Borden at (518) 474-3969.
